CCFEW is a 100% volunteer organization. Aside from project specific grants and some event sponsorships, all of our operational expenses are covered through membership fees. We have no office staff, and no office, but we will do our best to return calls and messages in a timely manner.

We could always use more help. If you would like to help on a one-time, ongoing, or an event-specific basis, please let us know. The extent of our activities is limited only by the time our volunteers have to give.

We maintain an e-mail list to notify community members of events and meetings in south Etobicoke. Click here to subscribe to the list, or send an e-mail to subscribe@ccfew.org. (You don’t have to be a member to be on our e-mail list.) We used to run our list through Yahoo Groups, but it outlived its usefulness as it became difficult to subscribe, and difficult to administer. You can still see the message archive (up to April 2008) here

This website is a work in progress. Please let us know if you have comments, suggestions, or find any problems with the site.

This site was created using NetObjects Fusion, not because it’s the best, but because a license was included in our web hosting package. We have since upgraded to version 10 to take advantage of a few new tools. The new tools have come with new bugs, but it is still an inexpensive and easy to use solution. Web hosting is by 1&1, not a Canadian company, but the best value we could find to stretch our limited finances.

Many of text documents on this site were created with and converted to pdf using Open Office, an open source, free download from openoffice.org. MS Word files from other sources have been converted to pdf using PDFCreator, a free open source print driver.
