We had a good turnout for a cold, wet walk lead by Don Burton on March 24th.
Red-winged Blackbirds and Grackles were back in good numbers, but passerines were generally scarce. Most of our 30 species were waterfowl. Highlights included White-winged Scoters, and a single Tundra Swan swimming with the Mute Swans in Mimico Creek. We found all three Merganser species plus American Tree Sparrows and a few early Song Sparrows.
Between the rain and numb fingers, not a lot of photos were taken.
